Style at Home {Spring 2011 Trends Report}

Recently, Erin McLaughlin, Editor-in-Chief of Style at Home named three big design trends that are popping up in the industry this spring. Lucky for me (and you), the Style at Home team was nice enough to share them us… enjoy!

TREND: Diminutive Plants

Elements to consider for bringing home this trend:

  • small bunches of flowers or mini potted plants
  • adds freshness and instant colour (keep it a solid & single colour for a modern touch)
  • use outdoors or throughout the house (like your entryway or powder room)

Which trend is speaking to you? I’m really craving colour right now so the Bold 80’s trend is really tempting for me. I also love the diminutive plants. The outdoor table setting & lounge area feels relaxed and inviting… they’re making me long for summer to be here already! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
