Dixon Beat Light Series {Knock-Offs}

The simple yet sculptural uniqueness of the Dixon Beat Light Series doesn’t come cheap – but thanks to Morba and IKEA there’s options for getting the look for less.

If you caught my Interior Design Show 2013 {IDS13} post you may figure out how this post came to be. Did you know that IKEA Won Gold at the 2013 Interior Design Show for their fabulous and note-worthy booth? And, yes, they were the spring-board for this post.

I think Dixon beat lighting series is really quiet impressive. I’m most found of the hammered affect and shimmering gold within of each of the fixtures. Imagine the warm  glow they must cast when turned on… especially in the evening.

And, finally, a look at where my inspiration for this post came from. The IKEA booth at IDS13. I think their knock-off version, HEKTAR, and how they’ve showcased it here is really, really brilliant. This cluster of lighting so doable when only $24.99 each… love it!

I have been a big fan of the Dixon pendants for the longest time. I would love to own a series of the original but probably can't afford the price tag. Morba does have fab alternatives. It maybe hard to do such dramatic installation as the one at IKEA with a regular home with 8 foot ceiling. But I LOVE how dramatic it looks and completely transform the kitchen space!
