Annie Selke's Home Makeover

This month House Beautiful wrapped up a year long feature of Annie Selke's 1960’s ranch house renovation. I’ve been following along for months now via the Annie Selke website. To say the renovation reveal is impressive is an understatement, the transformation is fabulous! Her style is different than I would have expected... overall, the after seems fresh and playful. To see all the before photo’s and to read the entire story go here and here. Here are most of the after’s – enjoy!

Surprising she doesn't have one of her lovely area rugs in the kitchen area ~

I love the playful familyroom on one side of the fireplace and the more formal living room on the other, not to mention that daybed and those cushions!

The master bedroom and ensuite... modern and understated. I would add a touch of colour to the walls just to bring in a little more warmth to the room - love the glass shower!

The bold colours really give this room a youthful vibe, don’t you think? HomeSense has those colourful poufffs instore now -

The bike matches!! - wonder how the garage looks when the camera's are gone?

Beautiful space! I love those finger tiles in the ensuite shower - they make the bathroom look like a luxurious spa.

It's gorgeous but not at all what I would have expected (with the exception of the kids' rooms)- I totally pictured a historic house filled with antiques and bright/bold pattern everywhere. In any event, I adore the pink door, high back wing chairs in the living room, ensuite, master bedroom and the artwork in the staircase. Thanks for sharing!
I love the living room with all of those bright pillows and that art going up the stairs is amazing!

Oooh, love all the great colours! Love the diamond tufted headboard, and I think I need that dining room chandelier! Come to think of it, I need a bright green bike too :-)

I really admire people who can mix color in such a fun way that really works.
