Back in February I shared a round up of workspace inspiration which was my springboard for redoing my workspace at the office. You can read more about me here. With some bargain hunting and imagination, my workspace makeover came in at just under $70. Now, each day I’m in the office, I smile at the happy, more homey space I created. I’m pleased with the results.
It all started with shopping my house for items I could use. The Ikea frame, artwork, Liberty of London picture frame and glass vase came from that adventure… conveniently, I love pink and blue together so I thought, why not? Here’s where the rest came from… the faux orchid, tray, oversized clothespin and magnetic board, HomeSense. Turquoise fabric for the magnetic board DIY project InVu Drapery. Lamp, Moveline Liquation's. Color match turquoise paint (for DIY lamp project) and white spray paint, The Home Depot. Custom ‘W’ for the pencil holder, Muse Custom Vinyls. There you have it, with some creativity and bargain hunting, I brought in some ‘pretty’ to my otherwise gray workspace… instantly happy!
Here’s more happy news - my sponsor, Lena from Muse Custom Vinyls is extending all Desire to Decorate readers a special 20% off on any orders placed between April 4th through 11th. Simply enter the code "decorate" and enjoy your 20% off!!! If you purchase anything, circle back here and let me know what you’re up to, I would love to know -

I love it! I went to read your post on workspaces! To answer your questions at the end of that post: I have always brought something personal to work like pictures that the kids drew a vase a picture of my family, etc. but lately I have been considering going a little further. I have some fabric I love and thought I would recover my cube walls with it and bring a lamp and a vase with flowers!
I meant to say thanks for the inspiration!

LOve it and the purse, too! Where did you get it????
I recently moved transferred to a position that I didn't realize would have the least inspirational cubicle to reside in. Thank you for sharing your space. You have inspired me think more creatively about how to make my new location work for me.
