Together with Carrie from Treetopia, here are helpful hints for a swoon worthy Holiday entryway.

1) Choose a focal point. Whether it's a wreath, a painting or great vignette, having a focal point keeps the eyes of your guests rested.

2) Fill the senses with beauty. Holiday decorating is not just about creating a feast for the eyes. Treat the senses to delightful smells and textures as well. Seasonal floral like amaryllis or paper whites are great, as are lightly scented Holiday candles. A faux sheep skin area rug effortlessly tossed over a bench adds texture and interest.

3) Bring a surprise element. Add a touch whimsy by using unexpected elements. Add a wreath to a mirror or artwork, or add a ribbon to a table lamp for delightful twist to your Holiday entryway.

oooh great post! I love the huge wreath on the black door - so dramatic with a traditional element. Love it! I also like the last picture too...looks really great.
