Fifty Shades of Grey

Ok, I’ve joined the ‘grey’ fan club. My husband bought me the trilogy ebook for my birthday back in June. I really only started last week, but I’m through Fifty Shades of Grey, and I’m on Fifty Shades Darker. Admittedly, I’ve stayed up late too many nights reading… and yes, I’m loving the book(s).

Fifty Shades of Grey

I was at a pool party last Friday, it was all but hour in before the first mom asked if anyone was reading “fifty shades”. From there, we talked about the book for about 20 minutes… surely, they bought the book over the weekend.

I can’t believe all the hype surrounding this erotic page turner. It’s bizarre. For me, it’s been a while since I’ve been wrapped up in a book, so I’m enjoying the book and enjoying book reading again. Yes, the story is intriguing, but really, it’s simple, making it a great summer read for me. It’s bothersome that the chapters really connect, and before you know it, it’s 1:30 AM!

For excerpts of the book, check out the authors website, E L James. If you’re a fan, let it be known by joining the other 300,000 fans on their Facebook page.

Anyone else reading Fifty Shades of Grey? Do tell, or tell of another great summer read you’re onto -

I finally broke down a read it the other weekend since my husband kept coming home saying all his female co-workers couldn't stop talking about it... I must admit I lost a significant amount of sleep reading all three books in under a week! Horribly addictive.

Not really interested in reading it - I'm an anti-hype girl, that's just how I roll :-)

My favourite read last summer was The Help, followed closely by A Dog's Purpose. Unbroken and The Art of Racing in the Rain are two other books I really enjoyed reading.

Now I'm about 8 months behind on all my magazines, so better get to reading those soon!

I too have read all three books and have enjoyed them. It did take a little longer for me to finish the third book. I just found out there are soundtracks to each book. Trying to get my husband to read it now. He thinks it a "chick book". Lol!
