Mademoiselle Chair {Love it!}

The original Mademoiselle Chair by designer Philippe Starck of Kartell is absolutely beautiful, but whether the real deal or reproduction I love how these chairs add a pop of color to the room! If your budget allows, then definitely splurge on the original Mademoiselle. However, if you’re looking to achieve the look for less, reproductions make these gorgeous chairs affordable. They make a statement solo or in a group – love it!

Gorgeous, aren’t they? I want one! Granted only a reproduction is in line with my budget, so I may just need to connect with my sponsor Wire Home Furnishing and order myself one. Could you add one or more somewhere in your home?

JUJU Hat {Love it!}

Is anyone else lusting over these absolutely gorgeous Juju hats? They seem to be popping up on design shows and in magazines more and more lately. Available in an array of stunning colors, I can certainly understand why people are loving them so much. Instant burst of color, instant happiness! I had the chance to see one up close at IDS11, you read about it here, the feathers are gorgeous and they’re beautifully woven onto a raffia base. What’s not to love about them? Love it!

Creating A Cohesive Space

You may remember this kitchen makeover Cameron MacNeil from Canadian House & Home did last spring. Well, in her new show Candice Tells All, Candice Olson tackled the family room that extends from this kitchen (lucky homeowners, I know!). Candice really showcased how to create a cohesive space, using design elements from the kitchen as her jumping off point for the family room. Take a look!

Black & White Photography Artwork

I love how the black and white artwork seems to really pop against these tanned walls. I also love how the photography artwork, with oversized matting, really brings these rooms to life and makes them current. dresser in livingroom thibautdesign

For Japan With Love

forjapanwithlove_blog1

Thank you to Christine at Bijou and Boheme for spreading the word on this effort of kindness. I will be joining many bloggers tomorrow for the bloggers day of silence. For Japan With Love has been organized by Ever-Ours and UtterlyEngaged, thank you for putting this amazing effort together.

Every little helps. If you would like to donate, please go here.

For Japan With Love has a direct link on the website to our fundraising page for ShelterBox. ShelterBox was one of THE first organizations asked by Japan to help and were on hand on the Saturday after the quake.  Each large, green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items.

Double Chandeliers

My Oversized Chandeliers post received so many great comments, and apparently we all agree, you can do no wrong with an oversized chandelier. Thanks for sharing everyone!

How about if you substitute the one oversized chandelier with a pair of chandeliers or pendants over the dining table? This roundup of double chandeliers certainly make a statement… enjoy!

This last picture is unlike the others simply because the table is so lengthy, that one chandelier just wouldn’t do overtop. The shelves with table and pendants – definitely making a statement!TIDG-path-3-0800

What’s your preference – one oversized or double?
