Candy Flower

Since watching the premiere episode of Sarah 101 via HGTV Canada on Tuesday night I can’t stop thinking about the bright and bold floral print fabric Sarah and Tommy used as their jumping off point. It reminded me of the Candy Flower area rug from designer Marni through The Rug Company which I absolutely love… it too would work as a great starting point for a room.

Lovely, right? Happy Weekend friends!

p.s. Interesting how Sarah’s predominately pink colour palette for the vibrant living room is right on trend given Pantone named Honeysuckle as the ‘it’ colour for 2011. Then again, I wouldn’t expect anything less from this dynamic duo team. I still can't get over how they pulled the everything together, particularly; the chandelier, the side chests and the baroque mirror. The individual pieces didn’t do anything for me so the reveal had me pleasantly surprised. Loved the show and I’m hooked for the rest of the series!

Love those colors and how the rug stands out with the white background. You always find the perfect photos to inspire. Thanks.
