Crazy about Plastic? Absolutely.

Ok, providing proper credit is the right thing to do which means it's really called Transparent Polycarbonate – and I love it! What a nice way to take a traditional design and make it modern. I want both the Kartell bourgie table lamp and the Kartell ghost chair … I would use them in different rooms of course. Here are just a few photo’s of how they can easily be incorporated into any room in your house… enjoy ~

Where do I begin? My husband (Blair) has suggested I start a blog to help me organize my thoughts and ideas for remodelling and decorating our house. There’s a few road blocks when it comes to decor projects for our house; 1) I have a hard time parting with money 2) B and I have different design styles; (he's traditional, I’m contemporary) and 3) I have a hard time parting with money.

Realizing this, this year is going to be different. This year, instead of looking at our project list and deciding which project we’re going to tackle (keeping budget in mind) and then, collecting inspiration pictures, I’m going to build an inspiration board for each room in our house! Who would have thonk. Anyway, this will allow Blair and I to do all our planning and have our give & take discussions upfront. It also means, when we’re out and about and we find something that matches nicely to our inspiration photos we can ring it up – and not have to think about it.

If you’re wondering “who has the time”, we’ll I’m home on maternity leave now and my little man (8 months) has a pretty predictable nap schedule. So, this year, my first project is to build ‘Our Home, Inspiration Board’. Gotta love work that consists of looking for pretty pictures!! Anyway, viola, here’s my very first post. And, of course, I'll keep you posted on this ~

In the meantime, we also need to finish the projects we started in 2009 – which was our basement & new mudroom. I’ll post some pictures on that shortly.
