Christmas Decorating {Home}

Christmas decorating has always been challenging for me. I love so many colour combinations! Silver, white with touches of clear acrylic ornaments has been a long time favorite of mine and this year, I’m loving gold, silver with hints of either aqua or lime. The collection we started years ago was gold, silver with red… who knows, maybe next year I’ll change it up some.

The Grinch Tree is from Fresh Floral Creations. Originally I chose a blue ornament, it broke -

A little Christmas DIY…

I had a box of old Christmas cards so Liam and I did a little Christmas bunting. He loved gluing the flags to the ribbon. Now, he talks about it almost daily… it was fun! I would like to add fresh garland to the mantel but I haven’t been back to the garden nursery yet.Christmas 2010 151

Inspired by Megan’s DIY Christmas Tray, from Home We’re Home, I did this tray for us… it was fun too!001

My favorites from the tree…Christmas Collage

Added a little boyish flair… I bought this red airplane from Pottery Barn last year and B’s aunt made these boy ornaments… aren’t they cute? The red dot represents the Canadian flag for B.vintage boys

Now, to fill the empty tree bottom with presents!! That’s on the list for this weekend. 7 days until Christmas… are you done your Christmas shopping? Happy Weekend everyone!

I just stumbled across your blog for the first time and thought I would say hello! I looked through a few of your posts and love your style. I love that mantel garland :)

I'm a blogger as well, about the world of art, but my history is in interior design and fashion. I love to hear what people are saying! Hope we get to see more of each other in the future.

Beautiful! I love the mercury glass owl. The color scheme is gorgeous and I love it so much I used the same one in our living room this year. :-)

Your house is beautiful all dressed up for Christmas :-) The Grinch tree is fun, and your big tree is fab! And the bunting is a great idea - I hate to throw away cards, but I've never come up with a way to re-use them. Now I know how to put them to good use - Thanks! :-)
